Background:
Hydro Precision Engineering was established in 1980 initially to serve the Industrial sectors in the Vaal Triangle. During 25 years of rapid growth, the company has expanded three fold and our specialties include Hydraulics, Engineering, Fabrication and Construction work throughout South Africa and neighboring countries.
Activities:
Hydro can undertake complete turnkey projects from the design stage of hydraulic cylinders / powerpacks / systems, specialized machinery, engineering equipment & fabrication. Hydro Precision Engineering have dedicated site personnel that can install and commission all the equipment that is manufactured in its workshops. Hydro is also an approved OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) for the range of Parker hydraulic equipment which enables the company to offer a full range of associated hydraulic equipment to add to our range of cylinders and powerpacks.
Hydro Precision has qualified personnel to install and weld Polypropelene pipelines and associated equipment. Various projects have been undertaken at Mittal Vanderbijlpark Works and references can be obtained upon request.

To ensure the highest standard Hydro Precision Engineering conform to and maintain the ISO 9001:2000 System of which a copy is available on request.
Safety:
Hydro Precision’s Management is committed to ensure a safe working environment for all our employees. We implement the services of Macrosafe, on a consultancy basis to ensure that high standards are met and maintained. During our last audit we have obtained an official silver rating certificate no HYP232.
Customers:
Hydro Precision Engineering is an approved supplier to, Mittal Steel, Sasol, Cape Gate, Gencor, Samancor, Anglo-American, Geecom, Eskom, Billiton, SAS, SMS Demag and various other companies.
BEE (Empowerment):
The management has embarked on an intensive program in accordance with the Department of Labour’s code of good practice. We have employed a specialist company to assist us with this and our target date set to comply for is April 2007. The initial minimum rating we aim to achieve will be level 5.
